Diabetes Project Manager

22.20 hours a week; NJC33 - £28,127 FTE per annum (£16, 876 pro rata)

This is a fixed term contract until 30/06/2015

We are looking for a professional project manager to take forward and promote a new Type 2 diabetes support programme being piloted in Devon, West Midlands and the North East. The Post will be Devon based with some visits to the other 2 sites. Main duties include:

  • To oversee the successful delivery of the project

  • To provide support to, and work collaboratively with, the delivery teams across all 3 sites and to organise shared learning opportunities

  • To work with the public health team and GPs’ in the targeted areas to ensure positive interest and engagement in the programme

  • To engage with evaluation and research teams to ensure effective communications and understanding with the delivery teams.

  • To drive forward the project and work with practitioners and advisors to adapt the model where necessary to achieve best results.

 A DBS check is required.

Westbank Wellbeing Projects Administrator

22.20 hours a week; NJC 12 (£15,189.00 pro rata)

This is a fixed term contract until 30/06/2015

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused administrator to provide support for our Big Lottery funded Wellbeing Programme and its projects. Duties will include: supporting the programme and project teams with their administrative duties, organising meetings and events and collecting/collating evaluation and monitoring information including data entry and using excel spreadsheets.

A DBS check is required.

Skin Cancer Awareness Champions Project Co-ordinator

We are looking for a motivated individual to take forward our successful project aiming to raise and improve awareness of the lifestyle risks associated with skin cancer and increase the spotting and reporting of early signs.  The role involves recruiting, training and supporting volunteer champions who themselves have close experience of skin cancer; and then supporting these volunteers to deliver workshops to groups of young people (mainly in schools), to outdoor workers and to groups of older people.

This is a fixed term 12 month contract of between 18.5 and 22 hours per week at NJC.24 (£21,067 pro rata per annum); DBS check to be carried out.

The postholder will be based with a partner organisation (Community Action South West) in North Devon for approx 2 days a week and at our centre in Exminster for 1 day a week, with travelling throughout Devon required.
